About Our Team
Mike Ebner
President
Mike Ebner enlisted in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era and chose military service as a first career. While still on active duty Mike attended years of night and weekend college classes. Mike graduated from SIU Carbondale, Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management and was commissioned an officer. After 24 years of service Mike retired with the rank of captain.
As a second career Mike selected loss estimating disasters. Mike worked for FEMA as a field damage inspector during Hurricane Hugo in 1989. Several years and another dozen FEMA disaster assignments later, Mike transferred his catastrophe management skills to the private insurance industry when Hurricane Andrew arrived in south Florida in 1992.
Since then, he has worked for many carriers and with all major catastrophe events during the past 15 years. Growing with insurance industry changes each step of the way has brought Mike to his current leadership role today of assisting independent insurance adjusters in today’s highly technical and customer oriented environment. Maintaining proficiency with computer software and construction methods alike, makes responding to disaster sites seem quite natural for this retired career military officer.
Mike is licensed in Texas and Florida and is pending licensing in the US Virgin Islands. Mike now makes his home in the Caribbean on the island of St Croix between events.
